Jeroen Bosch Boat Tour

You can choose just the boat route or the boat route including a visit to the Jheronimus Bosch Art Center (JBAC).

Join us on an exciting journey through Heaven and Hell

From April 1 to October 31, the Hieronymus Bosch boat route on the Binnendieze brings the world of Jheronimus Bosch (1450-1516) to life. His paintings, full of bizarre dreamscapes and demons, were revolutionary. During this tour, you’ll discover his surreal world from the water.

You depart from Voldersgat and sail under the city to the Hellegat, a dark and narrow vaulted section of the Binnendieze. Here you’ll experience an impressive light show, where Bosch’s fantasy creatures appear on the vaults. Along the route, you’ll encounter statues depicting his work, while a skipper-guide explains their meaning.

Jheronimus Bosch Art Center

After the tour, you can visit the Jheronimus Bosch Art Center. There you can see his works as full-size reproductions. View the city from a height of 40 meters or step into a reconstructed medieval painter’s studio. If you’d like this combination, book the combi-ticket including the Jheronimus Bosch Art Center.

You can visit the Jheronimus Bosch Art Center at any time, including before the boat tour. Your boat ticket serves as your entrance pass.
