Climbing the St. John's Tower

Reward: a spectacular view

218 steps up, but don’t worry: you don’t have to do them all at once. On every floor, the guide from Kring Vrienden van ’s-Hertogenbosch tells special stories and shows you unique spots. Admire the old clockwork, the carillon drum, and the 69 bells, including the imposing Noteman with a diameter of 2.10 m.

The climb ends at a height of 43 meters. You’ll stand outside next to the giant clockwork, whose gilded hand is no less than 1.75 m long. Here, you’ll be rewarded with a spectacular view of the historic city center of Den Bosch and, on a clear day, even further.
