Discover the new city center of 's-Hertogenbosch
Due to a lack of space, the city expanded across the railway. This led to the creation of the Paleiskwartier, a vibrant district featuring modern architecture, homes, offices, restaurants, and green spaces.
A new center
Where sports fields and industrial estates once stood, you’ll now find a mix of buildings and functions. The strip along the railway houses offices, while the Onderwijsboulevard is full of schools and institutes. In between lies a dynamic area with unique architecture.
Sailing ships and water
The heart of the district is formed by De Hofvijver, a central pond where people ice skate in winter. The eye-catchers are the silver facades of the Armadas, designed by English architect Tony McGuirk. This iconic residential project with 254 apartments is known worldwide.
Architectural spectacle
Together with a guide from DagjeDenBosch.com, you’ll walk past striking buildings such as the Van Lanschot Tower, the La Cour residential complex, and ‘the gold nugget’—the gold-colored Stedelijk Gymnasium.
