Town Hall

Back

The town hall finds its architectural origin in the 13th century. In the 17th century the town hall was extensively refurbished. This was carried out with a lot of care and with such an eye for detail that the building still breathes history. In fact you will walk with the guide through the impressive history of ‘s-Hertogenbosch. In the hall your eye is immediately caught by wall paintings by Antoon der Kinderen. You will visit, among other things, the wedding room decorated with gold leather wall paper, the marvellous old council chamber with its centuries-old tapestries and the “Oranje” gallery. With the extension of the administrative centre the town hall has got an architecturally exceptional addition.
