Museum Kruithuis walk

Dive into the city's past

Discover the rich history of Den Bosch with a walk to the Museum Kruithuis. This special walk takes you through the historic center and offers a glimpse into the intriguing events of the Siege of 1629. Along the way, you will pass the Herman Moerkerkplein, where you will discover remnants of the 13th-century city walls and a restored water gate.

At the Kruithuis, the only remaining gunpowder magazine from the Eighty Years’ War, you’ll learn all about the role of water in the fortified city. After the walk, you can visit the museum (free with a Museumkaart) and enjoy a snack and drink at Grand Café 1629 (refreshments not included).
